Prepares, audits, and processes county-wide payroll documents involving a variety of rules and regulations governing the computation of pay and benefits, requiring some application and explanation of Personnel Rules, collective bargaining agreements, benefit plans, and other regulations and procedures.ģ. Audits time sheets, warrants, computer source documents and products, and other records for the EMACS payroll system for arithmetical accuracy, adherence to MOUs, legality and consistency, requiring some interpretation of established procedures.Ģ. This class is distinguished from Payroll Specialist by its responsibility for processing the bi-weekly payroll which includes auditing, adjusting, and entering a variety of payroll data into the County's Employee Management and Compensation System (EMACS). This class is only allocated to the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector and is characterized by responsibility for a segment of the County's payroll system. Under direction, performs specialized complex fiscal/clerical work associated with coordinating, correcting, and verifying a variety of fiscal and statistical documents for payroll processing performs related duties as required.
